Q: My car is all- wheel-drive, does it require a flatbed tow truck?

A: No. Our conventional (wheel lift) tow trucks are capable of towing a vehicle with all the wheels off the ground.

Q: My car has an automatic transmission, can it be towed with the drive wheels on the ground?

A: Possibly, Most manufactures say yes, at a limited speed and distance. You can find this information in your vehicles owners’ manual in the towing section.


Q: With so many different makes and models, how do we remember all the towing methods?

A: Every vehicle manufacturer establishes guidelines, several companies compile these guidelines into an annual publication that is standard equipment for today’s tow truck operators.

Q: Is towing rough on my vehicle?

A: No. Quite the opposite. Since your vehicle is lifted by its tires, it is riding on its own suspension. The tow truck suspension absorbs most of the bumps.

Q: Do tow truck operators have special training

A: Yes. All our operators are tested and certified by the Towing and Recovery Association of America. Drivers must also attend an annual training refresher course to keep them sharp and learn new techniques

Q: Do tow truck operators need to have a special license?

A: Yes. In the state of Texas Operators must carry a license. All licensed operators must pass drug testing, criminal history check, and knowledge testing administered by the State of Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.

Q: Are tow trucks inspected for road worthiness?

A: Yes. All commercial trucks must pass a DOT (Department Of Transportation) safety inspection

Q: My car is lowered, can it still be towed?

A: Yes. Our trucks are equipped to tow almost any vehicle. The more information you can give about the vehicle the better. This way we can make sure to send the correct truck.
